Yes, that's what I'm saying... COMMAND$ does not work in my IDE it does work 
once the program is compiled. Like I said, I'm running under WARP so that 
might be the source of my problem.
Chris Adams is running OS/2, wonder if the COMMAND$ works for him in the IDE?
The other problem I found running under OS/2 is you don't use the DOS APPEND 
command with PowerBASIC. For example APPEND C:\PB3; is a no... no... you 
won't be able to open a file for any mode without getting an error.  Now I 
haven't tried the APPEND function in WARP that was under OS/2 2.1. I'll tell 
you, that one had me pulling my hair out.
