Which says something about "comfort" levels. I am sensitive to increments of
C deg, and if alone at home [winter] the room is held in the range 18- 19C.

working hard [rare!] I set down to 17C.

When we lived in Epping, the freezing of the outdoor evaporater in winter was
a big! nuisance. On cold mornings, the a/c was virtually useless.
But here in Bundanoon the humidity is so low as a rule, there is little frost
build up on the coils. No, have no booster but we get effective heating at
outside air temps below zero C, but remain conscious that it could be cheaper
to run resisitive heating then. These are the circs when the gas heat in the
next room is turned up. I tend to washup yesterday's dishes! very early a.m.
which raises the rooms' comfort with added heat [off peak] and humidity.
Thanks for describing your system. You have worked at it!

Chicken! At 10C I often make a dash to the backyard, in shirt and pants. But
sure hurry back inside!
