I have been suffering with the built in switch in a HP FAX-200 for a
couple of years.  The fax machine will interrupt a phone call every now
and then, even though it is set on the phone / fax sharing option.  It
is hoped that a phone / fax switch will eliminate the problem because
the fax machine will not "hear" that I'm on the phone.
I have distinctive ring service, however the fax machine does not
support the service it "spoofs" or listens to the line for the fax tone.
