Cockatiels are often not really tame. Often they are rushed through and are
afraid of people. These birds can be tamed, but you are much better off with
one that really is tame. A well tamed bird will soon become a very good pet.
The bird should live for 15 years or so, who cares what it's coloring is,
you want one that will make a good companion. As another poster mentioned
the one that came to you and showed interest would be my first choice.
