Hi Joe!
Well, so far, nobody here is any worse for wear from the recent heat
wave. Monica and I took turns spraying down *ALL* the aviary birds
several times each day. They loved to get soaked to the bone but since
the temperatures here hovered between 100-110 degrees for over a week,
they all dried off rather quickly and became quite lethargic. They ate
lots of grapes and drank lots of cool water during this spell. It
finally cooled down a bit (90-95) which feels *MUCH* cooler and the
nights are even down in the low 60's so they are all doing great.
We have been doing a lot of babysitting of some of the babies we have
sold over the years. Several Macaws, Greys and Conures and ever a
Cockatiel or two. It's nice to see them again and yes, most still
remember us!
Take care, Joe, and keep cool!
Chuck and Monica
