I bought mine several years ago. "bbs ready" can mean several things. It
can mean FILES.BBS in each subdirectory, or it could mean pcboard style
indexes, or it maybe that the 00_index.txt files are all that are there.
00_index.txt files are very common in Internet archives. With that as a
starting place, a FILES.BBS (also known as FILES.DIR) can be created, but it
takes more time than a regular FILES.bbs file does...
