subject: Christmas Extinction

SA>We have been tricked into thinking we are celebrating Christmas, when

This time of year (Thanksgiving to Christmas), I go into almost a
depression state...because Christmas has gotten...as she noted...another
holiday. :( I don't even enjoy going to Christmas parties...and since the
day itself was actually placed on a pagan holiday, the wife and I don't
even put up decorations, or "celebrate it"...with the exception
of maybe a prayerful pause. To me...a "Christmas Tree" is a Cross
with 3 nails in it. Christ had to be born...as He came to die for the sins
of the world.

  >folks are waiting in the wings ready to infiltrate your hallowed

If folks had said 30 years ago that Branson would be what it is today, we
would have told them they were nuts.

  >unknown to me and thousands of fans, after 11 years this is the last
  >season for the Lawrence Welk team to perform in Branson.

I hate to hear that. I saw a deal once where "The Stars Of The
Lawrence Welk Show" did a deal in Little Rock. I think the media was
saying that "not many would show up". On the contrary, the show
was practically sold out. Jo Ann Castle was my favorite of how she
"tickles ivory keys". :)

SA>When in Branson, check out Shorty Smalls restaurant. They go the extra

They have one of those in Little Rock as well. Prices may seem a bit
steep, but the food, the portions, and the service are worth it. When I was
working at an area silkscreen printing shop (had to resign last July after
over 18 years there because of health reasons), we often went there for our
company Christmas party.
