subject: Guardian shoots itself in the foot, quoting stupidest man al

(yes I know "stupidest" isn't a word, but I'll bet Brendan doesn't.)

http://money.guardian.co.uk/work/story/0,,1419440,00.html

"Employees were urged today to remind their bosses of the amount of
unpaid overtime they work by having an email sent out on their behalf.
Workers can pass their boss's email address on to the TUC, which will
send out an anonymous 'bossagram' pointing out just how many extra
hours their employees put in.

According to the TUC, British employees work the longest hours in
Europe, an average 41 per week compared with France's 38.6 hours and
Italy's 35 hours. "

<< Women average 33.9, men 44.8.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3178554.stm
(Of course the BBC can't even say it.)
>>

Surely this can't be the same TUC that's campaigning for women to have
equal pay to men?

Intellectual unterhero, TUC general secretary Brendan Barber said: "The
bossagram is a fun way to make a serious point"

Well it sounds to me like he's a complete moron. Either men work more
hours than women or not. If they are to be entitled to more pay for the
hours they work or they don't.

If they do, as you imply, then why are you campaigning for equal pay
for women, despite men working 20% more hours.

If they don't, which you're imlpying in other campaigns, then why are
you complaining about the Bossagram?

So. We ask the stupendous intellectual, TUC general secretary, Brendan
Barber, what are you fucking talking about? Are you saying men deserve
more money for the extra hours they work, or are you saying women
deserve the same pay despite not averaging a full working week?

Does Brendan Barber know just how stupid he sounds? Or is he so stupid
that he just doesn't know?

http://www.tuc.org.uk/work_life/tuc-9211-f0.cfm -- Average unpaid
overtime (by men) worth =A34650 in 2004. (Since the average woman
working "full time" actually comes in at slightly under 5 hours short
of a basic 40 hour week.

http://www.tuc.org.uk/equality/tuc-9253-f0.cfm
"'In fact, the pay gap is actually wider than we thought. Official
figures show that female full timers now earn 19.8 per cent less than
men working full time."

..=2E. and above we can see that men actually don't get paid for loads of
the hours they work.

Is this "factor" factored into the statistics Brendan?

Thicky stupid thicky thicky stupidhead?
