I've heard of VAX/VMS but never seen it. Was that run on unix or something
altogether different?
My first computing endeaver was on an 8088 or maybe it was 8086 I forget. It
was given to me because I was having trouble getting my morse code up to 5
wpm for my amateur radio license. It worked too, shortly after that I had my
amateur radio license. That was DOS 3 or something there about. That computer
also had a modem in it so it wasn't long before I was BBSing and not long
after that I was running my own BBS.
Ttyl :-),
