Sorry, I can't find anything on the subject on my
hard drive. I suppose I didn't download it when I
saw it, but I'm suffering a bit from information
overload lately and am resisting even reading
 this stuff.

Along those same strange topsy-turvey lines [also
not downloaded] I remeber coming across a couple
of items that threw me for a loop: 1. Vitamin C
increases the rate of hardening of the arteries
in smokers [but not in non-smokers] [University
of California research, I think]; and 2. Some
cancer tumors [I forget which] simply thrive on
some vitamins [I forget which]. [I hope I'm
 paraphrasing these correctly.]

There are some others as well that I can't recall.

Seems a new trend this: research on the negative
 effects of substances previously thought
beneficial or at least not harmful.

My general slant is to be cautious about imbibing
any of this extra stuff. While most of it =is=
probably harmless [at least to your body if not
your wallet], I know people who, without looking
into what they're swallowing at all, have done
themselves plenty of no good by following the
 'pile it on' philosophy.

After I wrote the above, I came across another
item -- on Vitamin A, another antioxidant.

 See next message.
