See if you can located a copy of "Flying Fortress by Edward
Jablonski (c) 1965 Doubleday... The Library of Congress number
is 65-19886... There is not ISBBN number in the book...
I just got my 1945 issue of the Bombardier Information File
back from EAA. They say I may have one of the very few in
existance... They made copies for their archives. They say
they have plenty of PIFs (pilits) but that was the first BIF
they had ever seen. Verne Jobst, Director of EAA Air
Operations was once copilot for Merle Black at Capital...
Small world... Talked with Merle last night. He then told
me they have 10 pilots in his family... I would like to know
if that is some kind of record.
One B-17 in my unit returned with over 30,000 (offically)
holes in it.... Also a DFC maker..
