Hello, Nancy.
Tuesday January 20 2009 at 21:52, you wrote to me:

Ah, yes. You know I'm the so-called moderator of BBS_CARNAGE, er,
BBS_CARNIVAL. It's quieted down a lot since I first took over
years ago.

Thanks and I appreciate it. At least it'll be warmer (if not rainy :) for
us to move. I only hope the one person who said he'd help me move the big
stuff will not piss out like he has before...and if he does, I'll be in a
world of hurt, literally-I cannot lift over five pounds with my right hand.
*sigh*
But I'd appreciate it if you could either netmail (if possible) or post in
here the file archive name, I'll hunt it down.

Well, contrary to my reputation by some, you're more than welcome to have a
"backup" account over on my board. I do manual verification (I'm
old-school), so you have to wait until I flip on the magic keys in your
account. I also offer a "fast QWK" menu-when you log on, you go
directly to the QWK (offline) menu so if you're just stopping in, you can
go past all of the "normal" screens n' stuff. If you create an
account, just let me know it's you. The system will be down for a bit
while I move and get my DSL access going.

Maximus, if it's absolutely stock (mine's semi-stock especially in the
message area), can be frustrating until you get the hang of it. But I'm
used to it and other Max sysops call (sometimes). I can add in all the
fancy features, but so few people use my board that it's really not worth
my time.

Telnet is fine and will always be available. Dialup is mostly for me and a
few people who prefer to call me "direct dial" than over the
'net...not to mention a few BBSes I feed Fidonet and Micronet (my own
network) via dialup to.
NB> Nice one... :)
You've got a ton of good ones that I've noticed. I can give you
my rather small (640 lines) tagline file if you want.
Later,
Sean
