A CRAZED mother yesterday shot her three five-month-old triplets before
turning the gun on herself and committing suicide.

Police officer Maureen Koulen, 26, used her service weapon to blast the
tots - two girls and a boy - in the stomach at her home in Suriname.

The babies miraculously survived the incident after but were reported to be
in a critical condition in hospital.

Their father and two brothers - aged three and six - were not home at the
time of the shooting.

Mr Koulen's sister Nancy Cheuk-A-Lam said:  "We had no indication that she
was in such an emotionally desperate state. We are in total shock".
