No spam prevention method is perfect, RC> but dont expect people to only decide on the methods you approve RC> of. I am getting real tired of being told by various folks all about SPAM and their mechanisims to fight it.....ESPECIALLY when what they are doing, in this particular case, is cluttering up my mail box and bandwidth with messages that not only tell me the message is rejected(which I really could care less about since the message was notification to them in response to a message sent here, that is intended for their beneift), but even more so that the message labels the traffic from the echolist robot as spam, and on top of that tells me to go to Hell. Folks can reject every single piece of mail that comes from the Robot...they punish themselves, not me when they miss the messages. Now, as far as my own logic on spam....if the stuff is truly spam, do we think the spammer will even see the insulting message, OR even care about it? So, I'm just gonna side track email from folks who use mechanisms that aggravate me, whether it's a lot of bounced mail, or text that's insulting. cya, thom http://www.tlchost.net/echolist/ --- GEcho 1.20/Pro* Origin: Home of The Other Robot (1:261/1352) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 261/1352 38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
