I dont blame him for his consternation, but he could quietly handle it
rather than blowing a gasket.

I employed a service last month that uses a challenge/response setup, if no
response to the challenge, I never see the email on my computer, this has
kept over 1300 spams off of my system with quite a few of them being worms.
Many say that C/R setup is stupid, but since most SPAM is robot generated
with forged headers the service will after a few days delete it all off and
I will never see the email, whereas that email which is genuine will get
in.

I have employed a bayesian email classifier as my frontline defense, but
that still left me with those emails sitting in a "spam" folder,
with some of those emails containing virus code. In my case if I can keep
it and the penis enlargement offers off the system, all the better.
