keeping in mind that

I tried it over here and it didn't seem to do anything.  I tried DBUTIL
PURGERENUM FIDONEWS - and it just went back to the prompt in a second. 

There a loads of negative posts on FIDONEWS to match the negative message
numbering.. :)
