there is some sort of error in the generation of the rules list and
archive... additionally, there is an error in the saving of the rules files
with the proper rules file filename...

the following are all the ones that i update each and every month... these
are currently sent embedded in the message body and sent as email... some
of the filenames seem to be derived from the echoarea tag when they are
sent in this manner. this seems to be a problem when the tag is more than 8
characters in length.

whatever it is that is causing this is causing the files to not be updated
properly and appears to even be causing other content to be put into some
of the rules files. in looking at the list, there are even some that are 0
(zero) bytes in size...

the robot appears to be badly broken wrt processing rules files from
internet email...
