MH> Where do I enter the alias?
BC> If you mean when writing a message, in the "To:" field.
Bingo! After your explanations, it all works as Juno advertises.
I think I was being unconsciously dim because it didn't work the way
I thought it should work.
BC> Click on "Address Book", then on "New List". Enter a name
BC> for the list. Add the names to it. The new mailing list
BC> will be at the bottom of the regular list. Clicking on
BC> it will send the message to all entries in it.
Just tested it. It works.
BC> If you mean a second list of all individual accessible
BC> entries, then you will have to create a new account. To
BC> do that, exit JUNO, restart, and at the first screen click
BC> on the "Create New Account" button.
Does Junop have any safeguards against me creating six accounts for
six different mailing lists or something like that?
BC> If you only have one account and look at the JUNO directory,
BC> you'll see a subdirectory of USER0000 . Doing the above
BC> will create USER0001 , with all new info.
BC> I haven't done it, so I don't know if you can use the same
BC> password and logon name in both.
I do know that Juno will not permit duplication of logon names.
It refused my first two versions because they were already used.
I've played with the address book file. I don't think I want to
make any changes there. Eventually, I'd forget something.
However, I recognize that all you describe isn't hard to do, and I
can file the conceopt away for another day.
Did you know that Freemark used the same access numbers as Juno?
But Freemark targeted another type of user altogether. My copy
of Freemark appeared to be intended for the less aware computer
user.
Thanks for your help.
... "Bother!" said Pooh, as Satan pointed out the small print.
