    HCI and other anti-2nd Amendment types have the goal of banning all
handguns (at least non-govt handguns) via a series of continuing and
increasing steps.    This is not a case of 'let's register cars'....noone
(other than Al Gore) is trying to take away your cars.    Guns are merely
tools used by police, by citizens and by criminals.   If we want to ban
misused tools, then I assume you support banning of any car commonly used by
criminals?    Let's also ban clothes and footwear commonly used by
criminals.
       Alternately, let's punish criminals who use guns extremely
heavily.......naw, that is holding people responsible for their
actions.....we can't do that!    Criminals are victims!

p.s. Bans are very effective.   Look at the resounding success of the drug
war.....complete victory!   Making opium, heroin, crack, cocaine etc totally
illegal has completely solved our former drug problem.   There are no more
drugs on the streets of America!    Wonderful technique!    Should work
equally well with separating criminals and guns.    Since we don't allow
unregistered drug sales at drug shows, we might as well not allow
unregistered gun sales at gun shows.    Both ideas work just great!

Come on ld quit your spewing for a minute and try to actually READ the HCI
press release (not the bogus "secret" letter) and say what it is you
disagree
with.
Isn't combating the illegal use and sale of guns in the interest of every
law
abiding citizen?
