Let your bird sit on your shoulder and be your companion but don't try
to grab him. From a bird's perspective you look a lot like King Kong.
If you want a good relationship let your bird have control over being
with you. As I'm typing this there's a bird sitting on my shoulder
cuddling my neck. I didn't put him there. He flew there just to be with
me. If I reach up to grab him he'll bite. If I reach up slowly and
hold out a finger he'll step up.
Now there are two birds with me, one on each shoulder. I need more
shoulders.
