In San Diego, the Fire Department responds to LOTS of 'gas leaks', some
large diameter pipes broken by constructuion crews and the like, but
MANY of the calls are simple residential calls, and they still WANT to
be there, to prevent an explosion.  And they get there FAR quicker than
San Diego Gas and Electric.
