Most BBS's I know of which use something other than ZIP do convert files
to the BBS's standard archive format.

I think ARJ is losing favor, at least among BBSers (sysops and users) -
my guess is that a lot of RAR's gains are coming at ARJ's expense. And,
that doesn't consider that SDN went back to ZIP from ARJ.
