Same idea in Japan (at least in summer). Electric costs a bundle there.
Folks have tools that may be 'special use' but cost less to use by far than
an oven.
I got so used to it, I literally had to remember to dust out the oven for
it's rare uses (and was one of the few in town and only in my complex, to
have an oven!).

Hehe can't get lazyier than 3 mins to fill it and push 2 buttons!
Of all the bad luck, my daughter accidently tossed out the bread paddle on my
machine so I had to order another. It's one of the few brands where you cant
get the replacement part for less than 1/2 the price of a new machine and
even then, you have to back order it.
New one due in. Cuisinart brand. Good reputation though not as fancy as my
breadman ultimate. Still, does what i need and i never used the features to
program my own settings anyways!
Totally easy to get replacement parts for if needed and not known for needing
any replacements in under 6 years if used 3 times a week. Solid machine.
