Women don't mean they want you to understand them when they say they
want to be understood.

What "I want a man who understands me." means is "I want a man who
recognises that I can't do anything, and am hence dependent on deceit
to get my livelihood, someone who doesn't care I'm a lying cheating
whore who survives by emotionally blackmailing people, and is happy to
give me all his money."

It's the same with men.
"My wife doesn't understand me." means "My wife doesn't put out, and
she'd hate it if she knew I was trying to shag you."
