Hi Erik!
EW> So far so good, and everybody is happy with this new machine, except for
EW> one thing: We're using Pegasus Mail (DOS, Win16 and Win32 versions) for
EW> our internal e-mail, and when a user on this 4.11 server tries to send a
EW> msg to a user on one of the 3.11 machines, PMail claims that that server
EW> could not be found.
From Pegasus help:
--- cut ---
WinPMail tells me it can't find my home mailbox, but it's there!
There are three possible causes for this problem:
[...]
[*] 3: You may be running under NetWare 4.0x in a directory services context
which is not the Bindery Context. WinPMail is a Bindery-based NetWare
application and requires information from the NetWare Bindery, which is
poorly emulated under NetWare 4.0x. The only solution is to have your
usercode moved into the Bindery Context.
--- cut ---
You should set your 4.11 server so as to work with bindery emulation.
Edit your autoexec.ncf from the SYSTEM directory in SYS and add a line like
this: SET BINDERY CONTEXT = OU=XXX.O=YYY
(Set the context of your 4.11 users instead of XXX and YYY)
