It seems that these days, lots of niche, non-broadcast channels in the
US have programming that has nothing to do with their particular niches
(The Sci-Fi Channel with wrestling or completely non-sci-fi movies, The
History Channel with non-historical programming, MTV with non-Music-TV
programming, etc.) or have changed their name to something that they say
that is not really an acronym for anything. I haven't kept up with all
of it for the last several years, when I went to 100% OTA (over-the-air)
broadcast. Since ~August 2004, I've been watching my favorite cable
shows (e.g. Monk, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Stargate
Atlantis, etc.) only via DVD. Now, when I do happen to catch a show on
cable or satellite, it really stands out how they're polluted wth
commercials, pop-up ads and shrunken credits with advertising and
voiceovers.
Just curious, where are you? If I had to guess, I'd say Finland.

"The Dresden Files" (2007)
Harry Dresden: [re. Bianca] What is it about bad girls? They lie,
cheat, won't suck your blood even when you beg them to, and for some
reason, no matter how badly they treat us, we still can't walk away.
