 I was born in Charlston, SC.  The family moved to Quincy when I was
 four.  I was five when Pearl Harbor happened. Started school at old
 Quincy Elementry in 1942.  Moved to San Diego in 1945 and it's been
 home ever since. Studied electronics, got my FCC commercial license,
 spent 26 years in the Naval Reserve and retired as a Senior Chief
 Electronics Technician (E-8) in 1979.  I was with the PD 1965-75
 and the FD 1975-88.  I'm now retired on permanent disability -
 not job related.
