That is an outlying theory whose main problem is that ice ages are
basically caused by greater precipitation when it is cold rather than cold
per se. The problem with that is that a single large continent has much
less surface area in contact with the main body of water i.e. the sea &
thus the vast bulk of gondwana would have been (& according to the
geology was) desert & deserts (eg those in Antarctica) have too little
water to support glaciation.
