I have a fanless machine with a 25 watt power supply. It uses a laptop hard
drive. There's very little margin. I experimented with making a MP3 player
out of it, and installed an old Sound Blaster with on-board amplifier (only
a watt or two per channel). If I cranked up the volume, the machine would
hang...
