The guy was stupid enough and evil enough, but he was probably also
desperate.

She, on the other hand, probably wasn't very polite when she laughed at him.

It's kind of like when that NBA riot broke out between the Pacers and the
Pistons, which was the byproduct of years of trash talking in the league.
