You'll get a free ride past the runtime 200's, but not the Y2K date bugs. 
The trick is that the dates need to be patched before Squish tosses the
area or the highwater mark will already be past the fixed message by the
time it is fixed. Most of my tools were already doing cosmetic tricks to
hide the issue, so "grunged date" entries in the Squish logs were
the only evidence to support user claims that their door-entered messages
must not be going out, even though the rest of the echo traffic seemed to
flow normally.
