I forgot that as you also qualify for sysop discount, if you're not too
fussy about brands, you can get a V.34 modem for as little as $320, and if
you can't get say $220 for your Spirit, give it to Bob to flog.  He'll
probably advertise it for $400, and find another silly Asian who never
learned how to haggle (if such a person actually exists, which I strongly
doubt)!
