CS> True. Charlotte was bitching that i got Scott Tissue (she wanted the
CS> fancy packaged stuff that looked cheaper) but i reminded her that the
CS> roll would last 2-3 days here and the other stuff not even a day. I
CS> set her to calculations on that but this is old stuff to her. The 18$
CS> 36 pack of scotts is a better deal than the 14$ 36 pack of charmins.

Not the easiest lesson for kids to learn, but once they catch on to the
boondoggles, they can be the first to spot them, if they pay attention.

CS> Besides, I *like* scotts! So there! (hehe if we hold a picnic here
CS> next late Spring, I'll try to remember to get some of that puffy stuff
CS> for those who want it).

I prefer Scotts myself... used to carry a roll in my suitcase for the
times I got caught out visiting people who prefered the puffy... ;)

CS> Nope! Life didnt change much. Don's a lovely soul and still enjoying
CS> being a house husband while i work so he does most of that. I do sink
 CS> wash my stockings though.
CS> He just came home. Laughing, he tells me both machines are white. He
CS> added that the iron is white with a blue racing stripe.

("Make acquaintance" doesn't have to mean more than knowledge of where
they are and what color, ya know... ) It's wonderful to have spouses
that aren't threatened by alternative lifestyles... ;) We've shared
household chores for about all our marriage...

CS> Don's gonna show her some basic laundry ideas tomorrow. Odd what you
CS> dont think of but hadnt occured to either of us!
CS> 'Its a daddy thing' here to do that.

The one who does it regularly should teach the kid(s)... :)

 >> Quite the haul. :) One can get some good stuff at yard sales and
 >> second-hand places.

 CS> Yup!
CS> Don's looking at me grabbing wood things to refinish for fun again and
CS> yardsale. He wants real wood stuff and just to have fun. A few pieces
 CS> or so, xxcarol

As long as what one hauls home is useful... I haven't had the time
to do any of that for a long time... maybe someday I'll get back into it
again, not that I was all that involved before, but I did watch ads for
likely things, especially back when we were trying to furnish a home,
etc., and clothe a rapidly growing kid, on not much cash...
