G'Day Paul,
-=> Quoting Paul Wankadia to Frank Adam <=-
PW> Seems that's the only way. Or I could bid this echo farewell and move
PW> into OOP completely (which I'd rather not do ATM) ...
OOP is still C , it's just more object oriented :)
PW> So you mean it CAN be done with heapwalk() (if the array was allocated
PW> from the heap) ???
Paul Edwards just re-posted it, have a look at it, it does work and
won't take much to make it work with your code.
(after all i wrote it for the same task you're working on):)
PW> Where's the closest SNIPPETS site to 3:640/772.3 that I can pick the
PW> whole bunch up from?
My origin has snip9503.zip (ab 560K) you could try freqing that, but it's
not the latest, i haven't seen that on any BBS i frequent.
It's on the net though.
PW> I was taught to "hate" global variables... Come to think
of it -- why
PW> ARE they bad anyway?
I think it's just that, having the variables declared near the procedure
using them, makes the code more readable. On larger programs a number of
functions may act on the same global variable making it hard to keep track
of things after a while, strange bugs etc...
PW> Damn. What's ISO's address? I'll write to them and tell them to put
PW> this heapwalk() function (and the rest of the heap-related functions of
:-)
PW> Righto. So you want a BMW and I want a 10Mbit link to the US... :)
Dammit, you'll probably get it first :)
Cable networks will provide a digital connection next year, i'm with Optus
and they said it'll be about 10-15 times faster than current connections
at 1/2 the current prices.I belive Telstra is about to do the same with
Foxtel.

PW> PPP? SLIP? Shell?
A number of times a day. Only if i miss. No it's implemented in my program.
It's PPP. :-)
