The first sentence of the posting contains the words "these guys". I take
"guy" to be functionally equivalent to "man" in this
case. Inserting this
term for "guy", the beginning of  first sentene would read
"Unfortunately
for the world these men have  ..." etc. One can do that for the other
occurrence of "these guys" as well; and all the occurrences of
"they" would
then refer to "these men" (that is, us). Had the OP exchanged
"men" and
"women" with "blacks/whites" or
"jews/gentiles" it'd be in prison for hate
crime for this. Lucky for it, there is no such thing as hate crime against
men.
