Until recently we had 2 NW 3.11 servers and one NW 2.2, interconnected using
ShivaIntegrator 500 ISDN routers. But last week we replaced the 2.2-server
(an old 486 with 8Mb RAM and 200Mb volume space) with a nice Compaq Proliant
800 machine running NW 4.11.
So far so good, and everybody is happy with this new machine, except for one
thing:
We're using Pegasus Mail (DOS, Win16 and Win32 versions) for our internal
e-mail, and when a user on this 4.11 server tries to send a msg to a user on
one
of the 3.11 machines, PMail claims that that server could not be found. Same
problem the other way round (sending mail from a 3.11 user to a 4.11 user).
Strange, because even from within PMail itself (the DOS version) it's no
problem to switch to one of the other servers. The necessary 'mailman' users
are
correctly defined, and if a user is attached to both or all 3 servers, PMail
doesn't have a problem delivering the mail at all.
Anyone any clues? All DOS/Win workstations use VLM 1.21, and all W95 users
se
the latest Client32 (with a little patch to circumvent the GPF in MPREXE.DLL
when connecting to a 3.x server).
Regards,
Erik
