Because it is possible to give product away to one company while funding
that give away with the profits from 4 other sales but if every sale has to
be at the same price then either you make a profit or you don't on every
sale. You can't say, "don't lose to linux" without giving every
other customer the same deal.

We aren't talking about what the market will stand, we are talking about
what each individual sale will stand. It's like selling cars if you don't
have to charge everyone the same price for the same car.
