Yeah, I noticed that earlier too -- kind'a ironic
that this phrase so often used by writers of
women's porn (romance novels) was taken
up by this article from a web site with
"entertainment" as part of its name.

Until women give up their characteristic
passivity -- captured in phrases like "she
found herself" blah blah blah -- they will
never be "pulling their own weight" (as you
put it), Viking. "Find themselves" (ha!) as
if these women were drifting along helplessly
under the thrall of some greater power, like
leaves swept down a stream, without any
volitional control or power of choice to
change where they end up. I agree with
you, Viking, this article is a heap of cowsh*t.

I look forward to seeing the news outfit that
published that stinky cow pattie get crushed
under the pile of angry letters from feminists.
Yeah, feminists, for aren't they supposed to
be easily riled up by any implication that the
typical woman is a helpless Miss Dewdrop
who can't fend for herself?

I know. I'm dreaming. Feminists are loathe
to let go of the women-coddling double
standards that have always kept them in
their privileged position since time immemorial.

There is one great advantage which women have
over men: _they have a choice_ -- a choice
between the life of a man and the life of a
dimwitted, parasitic luxury item. There are
too few women who would not select the latter.
Men do not have this choice.
