BBBS doesn't but it's ok, because I connect to all the echos my Uplinks
offer. If they have it, I have it .. that's one way to take care
of it

AFAIK it's regexp

Yes, indeed, it is .  Sometimes people put sig lines (or tag
lines) in their areafix requests and BBBS reads them as part of the request
as well :(
