What one does to oneself within the confines of one's own mind is one's own
business IMO. Whether someone is free within their own mind should not be a
political issue. (though a lot of totalitarians want to break into the
mind)
To speak of freedom in the political realm then one is discussing one's
relationship to others and to the state.
