BJ> Did you "compile" all the mex scripts, menues, etc.? Hi, I think I know what happened, I was testing the creation of door.sys. So I created a menu item that did nothing but Display_File doorsys. Well, in local mode (max -k), it crashed. But I just got max to run in wfc mode using the -pt, and did a local logon that way (alt-k). This time the door.sys was created and max did not crash. So, I'm thinking it was probably a null value when max tried to read the com port value or something like that. Back when I compiled maximus, I remember getting the latest code, I think using cvs to download. Then I followed the quickstart document.
