Hello Frances:
Concerning technology access cases, I am afraid that I am not writing to
present you with any, but the NFB is very interested in both cases and
legislation in this area.  We tend to feel that there is certainly some
law to hang our hat on in particular circumstances, but the coverage may
not be complete enough or specific enough.  Therefore, we have drafted an
information technology access model bill which is designed for use in the
states.  Some discussions are also going on about improved federal
legislation.  Mike Freeman or Noel Nitengale may be able to tell you what,
if anything is happening on a state initiative on our part in Washington
state, or I could provide you with a copy of the model bill, as could
they.  Bear in mind that the model bill may change a bit as we gain
experience in trying to shop it around to legislatures.
