Sorry Jim, I don't have the answer to your problem, but hell, you may have
stopped me from running out & buying a new printer. I have an old Tandy
DMP-106 dot matrix printer, which worked fine on my old Tandy CoCo3 computer
before it became extinct, with switches it was convertable to IBM printing.
With Dos its great but with any of the window type software (Word 6 ect) it
can take hours to print a couple of pages, probably does about ten passes on
each line. I have often thought about a new printer because you hear/read
of so many pages/m, but it probably is just a set up problem with your
printer and yes I probably should get a new printer. :(
