subject: Strange problem..

RC> I have encountered with really strange problem. After I
RC> connected to Internet, using Windows, I got message which says
RC> that I am connected, as regular. but, when I try to connect
RC> to URL, I get messages which claims that "URL not found",
RC> means I am not connected to Internet (for example, I tried to
RC> connect to www.yahoo.com). as result, I can't use Internet...
RC> (and not, I am not using "Work Offline"). I have Internet Explorer
RC> 4 and opera 3.51. both of them say that I am not connected to
RC> Internet although I am. Any suggestions?

Why not try just a plain IP address. If this works, then you are experiencing
DNS problems.

As a test, try 207.33.153.133 - if you get a page saying 'Shorelink' providing
DNS, email, etc. then it is a problem with your ISP.

If that IP test works, then goto start -> run -> winipcfg (ENTER) -> click
More Info and see if DNS servers are shown.
