I don't speak Latin, but I'm typing Latin characters now! ;-)

Latin "v" has cyrillic equivalent "в"
Think at "vodka" "водка"
I think cyrillic "й" is the nearest equivalent for latin "j".
For me, you may use cyrillic "в" as equivalent for latin "w".
We don't write "vodka", but "wodka" ;-)
