Bill Westerlage, broke radio silence with Jeff Herman:
BW> I must confess I have not flown in two years. I used to fly
BW> in Oak Cliff South of I20 off polk st. I still have all my
BW> stuff and could go anytime. I took up golf and have just
BW> been consumed by it. Where do you fly? I am in S.Arlington
BW> and I do need a new place to fly.
I fly at Thunderbird field at Benbrook lake. We have a 300' paved runway,
drop by sometime and check it out. We lease the field from the Corps of
Engineers, so you don't have to be a member to fly there just have insurance
(AMA or SFA). Of course if you become a regular flier we would like for you
to join the club.
BW> Are you in a club?
Yes the Fort Worth Tunderbirds. Among our clubs bragging rights are the 1st,
2nd, and 3rd place winners in the 42% races at Muncie this year were all from
the club. A few other members you might have heard of are Chuck Cunningham (
"Cunningham on RC" RCM), and Paul Tradielus (don't think I spelled that
right) who writes the helicopter article in one of the other RC mags.
BW> If so where do you meet? So many questions. Let me know will
BW> ya?
The meetings are the 4th monday of every month, at the Texas College of
Osteopathic medicine.. Bldg #1 room 506.
Jeff
... I fly for the fun of it. I crash for the maximium enjoyment of the hobby.
