  At 17 I was 6'1" and my mother was 5'2".  I recall once at that
age I had done something that upset her.  She was standing in front of me,
looking up and wagging her finger at me saying I wasn't too big to take
over her knee, as I looked down at her.  :)

  I have a basket on the front of my bike which is my "trunk". 
I've used cloth shopping bags for years.  Not for any high principled
reason, but because I know when the bag is full that's all the room I have
left in my basket.  :)
