I actually contacted George some years ago and attempted to register Blue
Wave and he refused.  So, if he refused my money, it's his loss, not mine. 
I even offered to pay a handsome sum for the source code to keep developing
it, but that was turned down.  If he's going to refuse money and sit on the
code, he gets what he deserves.  I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if the
author disappears on you when you're actively trying to register it, well,
tough luck!

That's why my programs are all freeware.  I don't have to deal with such
headaches...then again, I'd not design a program with an obvious flaw as
the Y2K bug.
