There are many methods of killing spam. I have a quite good set of
Bayesian filters which combined with whitelists, make very few errors
on sending spam to spam boxes and good email to good email boxes.

I get 200+ spam messages per day at the address I put into my
signature box, none of which ever get opened or looked at in any
significant way. I get no more than a couple of spam messages per
week at any of my several legitimate email addresses -- none of which
are used in any public forum.

Bottom line -- not a problem.
