Um, it's a bit flattering to have newssrv debug code with my name in it, but
unless we're still having problems, could that be removed?  It takes up a
lot of the log if there's a lot of newssrv access.  I don't even remember
what it was added for.  I know it was behaving oddly, but other than that I
don't recall.
